Juleng Wilson- Dog Trainer
For as long as I could remember, I've loved dogs. The first dog I ever owned was a beautiful girl named Jazmin, who I found in Guatemala. At the time I was a teacher and after a full day of teaching my second graders, I stopped to get a burger for dinner. I saw Jazmin around the restaurant and shared my dinner with her. The next day, I gave her some of my leftover steak. That was it. She was mine and I was hers.
She traveled with me around the world as I left Guatemala and went to teach students in Turkey for a year and Taiwan for seven years. During my spare time in Taiwan I worked with shelter dogs to socialize, groom and walk them. If you’d like a closer look at my journey with these dogs, you can visit my YouTube channel.
After leaving Taiwan, we settled on Vancouver Island, Canada. In 2023 I changed careers and became a dog trainer. I have met so many wonderful dogs over the years of all personalities- shy, impulsive, rambunctious, and reactive dogs. I have a soft spot for senior dogs and rescues. I'm also a crafty person and make handmade leashes and raincoats (for dogs of course)!

I'm certified in pet first aid and CPR and have taken courses in dog psychology and canine communication.

What I love most about training is seeing the transformation—watching a dog gain confidence, learn new skills, become more connected with their owner and family, and grow into their best self. It always brings me joy to hear families who tell me how much more they enjoy life with their dog after training. This is why I do what I do.
